Putting a pet tribute on RIP for Pets is not free because there are ongoing online costs associated with maintaining and improving the service. Running a secure website—one that stores videos, photos and stories, operates reliably around the clock and stays smooth and accessible—requires strong technical infrastructure, server space, ongoing maintenance and support. All of these come with real-world costs.

Who can view tributes?

Accepted Answer

Tributes can be viewed by the general public. You can share the link with friends and family. This ensures that your pet's memory is shared with those who matter most.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. There are no long-term commitments. You can cancel from your account settings within 12 months. After that you can request to have your pet listing removed by emailing mick@ripforpets.ie.

What happens to my tribute if I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Your tribute will remain published but you will no longer be able to edit your pet's page (eg change the text or change or add any additional photos or videos). If you would like your pet's page removed from the website, after cancelling your subscription, please email mick@ripforpets.ie and include your registered email address and pet's name. Your pet's page will then be removed within 48 hours and a confirmation email will be sent.

What's the difference between Standard, Premium, and Platinum plans?

RIP for Pets offers three subscription plans: Standard, Premium, and Platinum. Each plan provides different features and capabilities for creating pet tribute pages. The Platinum plan includes space for up to four pets with their own photos, videos, and stories.

How do I create a tribute?

You can create a tribute by selecting a subscription plan and following the guided process to share your pet's story, photos, and memories.

Are subscriptions recurring or once-off?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions to RIP for Pets are once-off payments. Each subscription provides for a permanent tribute listing for your pet. Access to your Member Subscription Dashboard remains open for 12 months from the date of purchase. During this period, you can make edits or updates to your tribute. After 12 months, dashboard access expires, and no further changes can be made, but your pet's tribute will remain online permanently.

Can I edit later?

Absolutely! You can edit your tribute, add new memories or update details for up to 12 months after subscribing. Just log in to your account and make the necessary changes. Your tribute can evolve as you remember more about your beloved pet for up to 12 months. After 12 months you can request a change by emailing mick@ripforpets.ie.

Do I need to be a writer to submit a tribute?

Not at all. Your words — even if they're simple — are powerful. You can write as much or as little as you'd like. If you need help, we even offer an online writing tool with your subscription to guide you. What matters most is the heart behind it.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Absolutely. If you start with Standard or Premium, you can upgrade at any time.

Can I create tributes for more than one pet?

Yes — the Platinum plan is designed for this. It includes space for up to four pets, each with their own photos, videos, and stories. You can celebrate them individually while keeping their memories side by side.
